Against the backdrop of rapid social development and digital transformation, the interplay between place, time-space, and memory has become a critical lens for understanding spiritual belonging and cultural identity. This multidimensional interaction not only shapes leisure concepts and practices but also raises profound questions: How can contemporary leisure be more meaningful? What forms of leisure can generate new forces from time-memory? How do cultural frameworks influence the preservation and consumption of memory? and else. As a vital approach to social observation and practice, leisure philosophy now faces new challenges and narrative transformations brought by AI technologies.
Hosted in Chaozhou—a 2,000-year-old Lingnan cultural hub—this conference draws on the city’s living heritage, where agrarian wisdom of "following the way of nature" coexists with classical texts, academic education, and artisanal traditions. This historically rich yet modernizing space offers a multidimensional perspective for leisure philosophy research.
